The Senior Financial Analyst will provide analysis and strategic planning support to the Network Business Division.

Role And Responsibilities

Strategic Planning/Analyses

  • Current month sales forecast and 3 month/yearly sales forecasting and planning
  • Budget forecasting and profit simulation - Current Monthly Forecast + 3 Month/yearly Forecast, guideline with Business Manager, Carrier Business Manager, Supply Chain Management.
  • Liaison with corporate planning/financial planning team
  • Assist in Quarterly/Semi-Annual/Annual Strategic Planning
  • Consolidate product & service delivery plans and analyze all purchasing and sales activities
  • Work with SECA Legal team on contract reviews and approvals
  • Maintaining & tracking Div. Local and Consolidated Profit
  • Liaising with 3P contractors
  • Work with SECA shared service team like corporate management and support to streamline value chain operations and expenditures process
  • Oversee RFP/RFI for new vendors
  • Assist Account teams in building accurate and robust business plans
  • Assist Executive leadership in cost control and optimization.

Industry/Market Analyses

  • Macro trends analyses; Global, Industry and Canadian market trends and identification of opportunity space
  • Competitor Analysis on Canadian Network Vendors
  • Manage carrier market share tracker

Maintain/monitor/report key performance metrics

  • Update key performance metrics
  • Create reports and presentations for Samsung Canada senior management, North America and HQ in Korea

Communications

  • Collect and distribute all product assets including monthly price lists
  • Assist in HQ communications and management planning

Assist in the general Business Management of the division by

  • Working with the Sales Managers, assist in providing timely Market-Sensing and other Reports to the company, as required

Education

Skills and Qualifications

  • Minimum bachelor’s degree in business or finance subjects preferred

Knowledge

  • Strong Microsoft office skills, especially with Excel
  • Bilingual (English and Korean) is an asset
  • Demonstrated ability to interact and work with all levels within the organization
  • Ability to plan, organize and prioritize multiple and simultaneous related projects and programs in a changing corporate environment

Experience

  • Prior business modeling experience preferred
  • Accounting background preferred
  • 5 years’ experience in a technology or communication environment preferred
  • Prior experience in supporting an RFP process
  • Experience in IT, Consumer Electronics and/or Telecommunication industry in strategy, planning or marketing analysis preferred
