POSITION SUMMARY
Work Location: Onsite at our Houston, Texas location
The Sr. Financial Analyst serves as a key partner to the business to analyze data that influences strategic decision making and improves company performance. This position is heavily involved in business partnering with Operations and corporate finance for required board/C-suite materials.

SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES
- Lead business partner for operational Segment (this is a very business facing roll), with the ability to clearly communicate, collaborate and provide financial insight for the operational leaders
- Responsible for monthly forecast updates (full P&L) for selected operational segment
- Participates in annual business planning process and midyear re-forecast process
- Analyzes current and past financial and non-financial trends in key performance indicators.
- Monitors and tracks financial progress for assigned segment.
- Provide business case analysis and consult for Operational leaders in key strategic making processes
- Assists in production of Board presentations and other Board-related materials.
- Responsible for monthly/quarterly updates and process improvement initiatives
- Experience with Planful (or other leading FP&A tools like Adaptive Planning or Anaplan)
- Strong excel analytic and modeling skills including building models from ground up and inheriting existing complex models
- Strong understanding of pulling data from databases and data management via Excel (Power Query and PowerBI a plus)

POSITION REQUIREMENTS
Must possess:
- over three years of business-related experience with the ability to be detail oriented and process driven.
- Preferred two years of experience in FP&A.
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business Analytics, or Accounting is required.
- Very strong PC skills and experience in Windows packages (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Access, PowerBI, Outlook) and financial systems.
- Good organizational skills and the ability to move seamlessly from project to project as requirements dictate are important traits and skills.
The ideal candidate will possess the following skill set: understanding of advanced financial analysis techniques using spreadsheet software; ability to assist in the design of reports that present data in a concise manner for use by top management in decision making; strong analytical and interpersonal skill; ability to communicate with Sr. management (verbal, prose and PowerPoint) in a concise/executive summary fashion.
Some travel and overtime may be required.
Moreover, the incumbent must be well organized and be a self-starter with the ability to work with minimal supervision and to independently identify work to be done and must be flexible with the ability to adjust to sudden changes in work priorities. The incumbent must also have the ability to prioritize work generally and in order to accommodate those changes. The incumbent must have a strong aptitude for accuracy and detail which maintaining a strong sense of personal motivation as well as responsibility.

PHYSICAL/MENTAL REQUIREMENTS
The incumbent must be able to perform the essential functions of the job with or without reasonable workplace accommodation.

This may include hard hat, safety glasses, respirators, ear plugs, steel-toed shoes, personal flotation devices, or other equipment as required by the work performed and location the work is being done.
The incumbent must possess the ability to remain calm during emergencies and respond appropriately as dictated by the circumstance of the incident and as directed by the Safety Representative or other management personnel. Must be capable of evacuating the work area in a timely manner should an emergency situation arise.
