Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Business Analyst with expertise in mergers and acquisitions (M&A) to join our Business Development team. This individual will play a critical role in evaluating potential allergy practice acquisitions, conducting financial analyses, and providing strategic insights to guide decision-making. The ideal candidate has strong experience in financial modeling, EBITDA impact assessments, and due diligence, along with the ability to engage directly with practice owners and sellers, demonstrating strong emotional intelligence (EQ) to build trust and rapport.

Key Responsibilities:

M&A Analysis & Financial Modeling

  • Develop and maintain pro forma financial models to evaluate potential acquisitions, assessing revenue, cost structure, and profitability.
  • Analyze the impact of acquisitions on EBITDA, identifying risks and opportunities for financial growth.
  • Conduct practice performance analysis, including historical financial trends, operational efficiency, and potential for scalability.
  • Partner with finance, HR, legal, and operational teams to ensure accurate due diligence and valuation assessments.

Seller Engagement & Relationship Management

  • Meet with practice owners and sellers to understand their goals, concerns, and motivations for selling.
  • Build trust and credibility through strong emotional intelligence (EQ), active listening, and transparent communication.
  • Clearly articulate financial insights and acquisition benefits in a way that is accessible and meaningful to sellers.
  • Act as a liaison between sellers and internal stakeholders, ensuring smooth negotiations and a positive experience throughout the transaction process.

Data-Driven Decision Support

  • Provide actionable insights to leadership regarding potential acquisitions, helping to determine which deals align with business strategy.
  • Benchmark performance metrics against industry standards and identify opportunities for optimization.
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders to assess post-acquisition integration plans and financial performance tracking.

Market Research & Competitive Analysis

  • Research industry trends, competitor landscapes, and market opportunities to support growth initiatives.
  • Identify key financial and operational indicators that signal high-value acquisition targets.

Qualifications & Experience:

  • 5+ years of experience as a Business Analyst, Financial Analyst, or M&A Analyst, preferably in healthcare, private equity, or a multi-site business model.
  • Strong financial modeling skills, including experience with pro forma development and EBITDA impact analysis.
  • Experience with mergers, acquisitions, and due diligence processes, particularly in healthcare services or related industries.
  • Ability to build relationships and communicate effectively with practice owners, sellers, and executive stakeholders.
  • Demonstrated high EQ, negotiation skills, and the ability to navigate sensitive conversations.
  • Advanced proficiency in Excel, financial forecasting tools, and business intelligence platforms.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and critical-thinking skills with the ability to interpret complex data sets.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to convey financial insights to executive leadership.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business, Economics, or a related field; MBA or CFA is a plus.
